I'd been commuting by bike for 10 years but until 2003, I'd never toured.

Then a group of us from work decided to give it a go, but by the time we set off the group had become two.

Steve & I have now done quite a few trips across Europe and have got the Ewan McGregor & Charley Boorman bug. We've picked some good routes and some bad ones and trial & error have all added to the adventure.

So this site is designed for those of you who, like us, don't have freebie bikes and six months, but a week off work and a desire to give it a go! Hopefully you'll find some inspiration here.

All of the trips started in London, and were for between a week and ten days. If you want to visit some of the places we have, then I've tried to put GPS co-ordinates for the locations of photographs and campsites we've stayed at on the co-ordinates page.
